The many faces of Nate

Now that Nate has passed the six month mark, he is showing more and more variety in his expressions and emotions. He remains exuberant in everything, from happy to angry to tired or cranky. There is a lot of yelling and screeching in our house right now!! But he is certainly gobbling up the world - new foods, new toys, new sights and sounds. Ed took him out on a hike last weekend in our new Kelty Kids frame backpack carrier and he loved it, so that will likely become a weekly tradition. He is enjoying all his new foods (finally came around to the peas, even) and is responding very well to our new bedtime routine. But the world is so exciting that he has a bit of trouble staying asleep or going down for naps... but everything else is so wonderful, that despite our constant sleep deprivation, we still feel very very lucky to have this little boy in our lives.
