Easter weekend with Mio and Gramps

Last weekend some more of Nate's grandparents came to visit - this time, Mama's parents Mio and Gramps! On Friday Mio and Gramps took care of Nate all day while Parker worked extra time getting ready for her big work event... then on Saturday, we all went for a little hike on Mt Diablo. But the real excitement came on Sunday, when Nate went for his first ride on the steam trains in Tilden Park. His growing obsession with his Thomas trains (thanks, Char & Dale!) was reinforced by the sort-of real thing. He didn't smile until the ride was over, because he was so intensely absorbed with the whole experience. I'm sure we will be back many times in the future!!
